LFW: Richard Nicoll

I think Nicoll's use of color is what wowed me. In the midst of dark color pallettes and neutrals dominating the runways, Richard Nicoll's collection stood out proudly showcasing rich colors such as royal blue, deep red, and powder blue. Along with the beautiful color scheme, the collection also consisted of clean silhouettes and modest cuts. Richard Nicoll's collection was defnitely one of my favorite collections during London Fashion Week.

NYFW: Public School

In the midst of heavyweight champions of NYFW such as Alexander Wang and Rag & Bone, Public School managed to capture my attention. This up-and-coming brand has been under the heated spotlight as the designer duo won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award last November. The designers, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, branched out to include womenswear in the collection's repertoire during the 2014 New York Fashion Week. The duo claims that the Public School girl was intended to be an androgynous counterpart for the boys. Thus, the ensembles for both men and women were similar in color scheme, silhouettes, broad-brimmed hats, and oversized outerwear. Overall, the collection was very suited for the ever-so-stylish New York City due to its cool, urban aura.

2014 A/W Fashion Week Favorites

I originally had this idea of recap-ing my favorite shows and moments that happened as Fashion Week was going on but wasn't able to get it into action due to an unexpected plethora of work that left me little time to blog. However, I thought this was just too fun of an idea to pass up on so I decided to report my favorite happenings in Fashion Week even if it may be a tad bit late. So let's kick off this mini-series with my personal favorite aspect of Fashion Week: street style. Just out of curiosity, which city's street style game was your favorite?

Belated January Favorites

Although it has been more than a week since January has been over, I thought I'd get my January Favorites posted today. I mean, it's better late than never. January has cruised right on by, and I feel like I haven't done anything productive the last month. Sobs.

Street Style: Milan Men Fashion Week 2014

Fashion Week attracts a swarm of street style photographers, fashion people, insiders in the fashion industry, designers, models, the list goes on and on. All in all, Fashion Week is a huge thing among fashion lovers all over the world. However, I feel that menswear never gets as much hype as much hype of womenswear. It's quite unfortunate because Men's Fashion Week has some of the best street style in my opinion. Is it just me or do well-dressed men (and women) walking around the streets of Milan make you happy? Anyways, here are a few photos of dapper men and chic ladies at Milan Fashion Week 2014.

Pre-Fall 2014 T by Alexander Wang

I have to say I absolutely loved the T by Alexander Wang Pre-fall 2014 collection. The collection revolved around the theme of sporty meets chic, and in my opinion the themes complimented each other so well. In the collection, there were lots of raw edges and fringed ends along with long, structured coats and bomber jackets. The frays on the unfinished seams helped give a more laid back and casual feeling, which I absolutely adored. I loved the distressed look the pants and shorts had. On top of the jackets and trousers made from denim-like material, Alexander Wang included wide-leg pants and structured coats which contrasted from the more casual elements.
